They should discontinue some of those programs...


but many of those sports programs (rowing, sailing, women's ice hockey, and fencing) are a part of their Boston identity. If they want to be competitive in the ACC, they need to keep the sports that the conference sponsors. I can't see them dropping men's ice hockey since it's their most successful sports program. Skiing can go. Will they be like Clemson and discontinue diving? How good is their track and field program? How important are men's and women's collegiate golf in that area? Like Maryland, they'll have some tough and unpopular decisions to make if they discontinue some of their athletics programs.
